Invasion Kent 2016
Event Navigation
A colourful and interactive Spring Bank Holiday living history event for the whole family at Hole Park Gardens, Rolvenden. There will be battle reenactments, an authentic tented camp, gunpowder, real horses, displays and stalls in keeping with Napoleonic times – and the stunning gardens to visit.
Visitors will be able to witness the sometimes noisy, fully authentic battle reenactments, see how people lived about 200 years ago by strolling in the tented camp. Everyone including children will be able to take part in ‘recruitment and training sessions’. Napoleon himself – or a renowned lookalike – will make appearances to lead skirmishes, and guides will be on hand to explain events as they unfold.
Hole Park Gardens, a 16 acre colourful combination of formal design and naturalised planting, will be at its spectacular best for the late Spring Bank Holiday. A Hog Roast will be available, as will cakes and light lunches.
